Uninstalling the Cashbook Utility

Step 1

Please make a backup of your database before uninstalling version 1.

To backup the Database follow these steps:

1. Go to My Computer
2. Select Disk C:
3. Browse to the following folder: "C:\Program Files\Neurasoft\Neurasoft Cashbook Utility\Database"
4. Locate the database file called CashbookUtilities or CashbookUtilities.mdb if you are able to view your file extensions.
5. Right-click on the database file and select copy from the pop-up menu.
6. Browse to your My Documents and select the press Ctrl-V to paste the copied file. You may paste the file in a different location if you prefer to do so.

Step 2

Uninstall the program by following these steps:

1. Go to the Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs. (Programs and Features if you are using Windows Vista)
3. Locate the Neurasoft Cashbook Utility in the list of installed programs and select if by clicking on it.
4. Click the Remove/Uninstall link to remove the program.

Now you are ready to install the new version. If after installing the new version you find that your linked companies are missing, simply copy the backup copy of the database back to the "C:\Program Files\Neurasoft\Neurasoft Cashbook Utility\Database" folder.
